PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. – Barbara Fitzpatrick Saucier, 55, formerly of Presque Isle, passed away July 13, 2012, after a brief illness at Lakeland Regional Hospital. She was born May 2, 1957, in Houlton, to Jerry and Isabelle Fitzpatrick, who predeceased her.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Steve; stepson, Dustin and partner, Roni, and child, Lexie; two sisters, Susan Karnes and Martha Mosher; and three nephews, Scott, Jeremy and Brad Durost, and their families.
Barbara worked as an educator for more than 30 years, specializing in early education. Most recently she was employed by The Early Learning Coalition of Florida. Since Barbara touched many lives and will be sadly missed.
A celebration of her life will be held later this year in Maine. Barb was a lifelong advocate of education; those who wish may donate a children’s book in her memory to their local library.
