MILLINOCKET – Angela A. “Angie” Morrow-Cote, 28, died Thursday, July 19, 2012, at her home. She was born Aug. 21, 1983, in Millinocket, the daughter of Clint and Kelly (Cummings) Morrow.
Angie grew up in Millinocket, and was a graduate of Stearns High School, class of 2002. She was a loyal and dedicated volunteer, fundraiser, and organizer with her cousin Tiffany for efforts to fight breast cancer, most notably Relay for Life, for which she was honored at the 2012 Millinocket Relay as the Top Individual Fund Raiser. Angie’s love of organizing events spread beyond her Relay efforts to include family gatherings for birthdays, holidays and anniversaries. She enjoyed the outdoors, whether it was four-wheeling, going for rides up to Rip Dam, Togue Pond or any other destination in the area outdoors. Angie especially enjoyed spending time with her husband, Matt, and her daughter, Kayli.
In addition to her parents, Angie is survived by her husband and companion of 15 years, Matt Cote; her daughter, Kayli Morrow; a brother, Ryan Morrow and his wife, Kristen; paternal grandmother, Yvonne Morrow; maternal grandparents, Carl and Brenda Akeley, all of Millinocket, and Kenny and Lois Cummings of Florida; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Cote; father-in-law, Mark Goodwin and his wife, Priscilla, all of East Millinocket; three brothers-in-law, Dave, Ray and Robbie Cote; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, too numerous to list.
Friends are invited to visit with the family 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, July 22, at Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, July 23, at First Congregational Church of Millinocket, 274 Katahdin Ave., Millinocket, with the Rev. Terry Given, pastor, officiating. Interment will be at Millinocket Cemetery.
