WINDHAM, Maine — Police have arrested a Naples man for allegedly taking prescription drugs from a Walgreens pharmacy in Windham last weekend.
Christopher McCue, 29, was arrested Tuesday and charged with robbery, the Windham police department said in a news release.
McCue is being held at the Cumberland County Jail and is scheduled to be arraigned for the felony charge on Friday.
According to a Windham police department press release on Sunday, a man entered the Walgreens on Roosevelt Trail Saturday afternoon and demanded OxyContin from the pharmacy. The man did not display a gun and he fled in an unknown direction and a search began.
There were no injuries in the robbery and several patrons in the store were able to give accurate descriptions of the suspect involved, said the release. Cameras in the pharmacy documented the robbery.
Detectives from the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office and the Gorham Police Department assisted with the arrest.
