ETNA – Ruth Marchelletta, 80, died July 27, 2012, at her family residence on West Etna Road. She was born Dec. 8, 1931, in Leominster, Mass., a daughter of George and Marie (LePage) Nichols.
She graduated from Leominster High School. Ruth had been employed at Edward’s Co., Pittsfield, and Guilford Industries, Newport. She was also the founder of Family Yarns, Etna, in which she worked for many years with her family. During her retirement years she enjoyed operating her yard sale.
Ruth is survived by four sons, Michael and wife, Sun-A, Joseph and wife, Tris, Gary and wife, Cassilena, and Antonio and Barbara, all of Etna; two brothers, Ernest LePage of San Diego and George H. Nichols of Madison Heights, Va.; 15 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
