BANGOR – Eleanor (Getchell) Durant, 73, died July 27, 2012, at a local hospital. She was born Oct. 7, 1938, in Bangor, daughter of the late Norman Liston and Eleanor (Lee) Getchell.
Surviving are two sons, Peter M. Durant and Jason M. Durant; grandson, Joshua Durant; two brothers, Norman L. Getchell and wife, Barbara, of Ocala, Fla., and David M. Getchell and wife, Margaret, of Brewer; one sister, Mary Jean Igoe of Bangor; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Eleanor was a member of All Souls Congregational Church, Bangor.
Private interment will be in the family lot at Pine Grove Cemetery, Bangor. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments 4-6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor.
