HAMPDEN, Maine — A Hampden man was arrested over the weekend after assaulting a female relative, according to police.
Dakota Curtis, 18, is facing a charge of domestic violence assault after he punched the woman in the cheek during an argument, Hampden Police Chief Joseph Rogers said Tuesday.
Rogers said the incident that police were called to just before midnight Saturday didn’t involve Curtis, but after an interview with the victim, it was determined that Curtis had assaulted her earlier that day.
Curtis was arrested and booked on a charge of domestic violence assault, according to Rogers. The victim had red marks on her cheek but was otherwise not injured.
Curtis was taken to Penobscot County Jail and later released on bail.
Hampden is becoming a ruff town.

Sounds like he realized he was losing the argument, so he tried to win the only way he knows how. Not the sharpest tool in the shed, is he?
