ROCKLAND, Maine — The Rockland Police Department released photographs Thursday of a man who robbed a pharmacy of drugs.
There has been no arrest yet in the robbery at Jensen’s Pharmacy, located in the Breakwater Marketplace. The building houses several other organizations including the Maine Department of Health and Human Services, the University of Maine at Rockland, and Child Development Services.
The still photographs were taken from a surveillance video camera at the pharmacy. The photographs were enhanced but still show little more than a silhouette of the suspect.
The man is described as about 5 feet, 8 inches tall with scruffy facial hair. The man — believed to be in his mid-20s to mid-30s — was wearing a suit jacket and a rust color shirt. He also wore a white fedora with a black stripe.
The man fled the pharmacy on foot.
A Maine State Police tracking canine arrived on the scene about 45 minutes after the robbery was reported at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday. The dog was unable to pick up a scent due to the large number of people who use the parking lot where the suspect was last seen.
Rockland police posted seven photographs on its Facebook page late Thursday. There were seven comments posted within a few hours of the photos being posted although the consensus from people commenting was that it would be difficult to identify anyone from the photos. One poster said, however, that there may be someone out there who can identify the person.
The man gave the pharmacist a note demanding drugs. The specific wording of the note has not been released.
During the past two years, there have been several robberies at the Rite Aid in Camden and one at the Kennebec Pharmacy in neighboring Rockport.
Other pharmacies across the state have also been the victim of people stealing drugs, mainly painkillers.
Looks like they need to get new security camera’s at Jensen’s Pharmacy. Cause you cant even make out a face or anything. Just what they’re wearing. All you can really see is the guys hat.

Fedora ? don’t see too many of these around Rockland, and a sport coat ? Sounds like he went shopping first at Goodwill (short walk accross the street).
Dressed that way , this appears to be another ” white collar ” crime or in this case a ” rust collar ” crime.
