BANGOR, Maine — Shoppers were left in the dark briefly Monday afternoon by a power outage at the Bangor Mall.
Bangor Hydro-Electric Co. spokeswoman Susan Faloon said the outage, reported at 12:56 p.m., likely was due to a problem with underground equipment.
Power was restored to the mall at 1:24 p.m., according to Faloon.
A mall spokeswoman said there was a fair number of shoppers in the mall when the outage occurred, and that business was back to normal around 2 p.m.

Sounds like a 15 minute all you can carry sale.
Wow, what a nice piece of breaking news.
We now return you to our regularly scheduled program, already in progress.
Ahhhh, PANIC!!!
What’s a ‘fair’ number of shoppers? Bangor Mall….85 degree summer day….weekday….mid-afternoon…I’m guessing there were about 5 people there. Am I close?
Wrong there was 6 1/2
Is that half a child under 3, or was that a mall cop?

Funny I saw a registered sex offender mall cop at 0ne time at the Bangor mall Make you feel safe to drop your kids off.
R u serious. They do background checks, kind of makes me wonder who it is, so i do not take my kid there
Glad this is news. Must be a slow boring day in central Maine!

I lost my power for 4 days straight during a snow storm this past winter. The BDN reporter never showed up. I want my money back.
Is the Bangor mall is still open?
I can tell you what… it got me out of work an hour early yesterday. I work at Wendy’s and we had to tell people left and right that we’re closed because of a power outage… and they just kept coming…
