There are creepy people among us heterosexuals too. 

Nothing you have said here makes any sense and it is plain to see that you are just trying to erroneously tie pedophilia to homosexuality. Nice little dog whistle there, trying to call in the gay bashers.

Life isn’t as black and white as you would want to believe. Each individual has his or her own motivations, and even when they live to tell the tale, you never know if you are getting the real story, or just another facade. People lie, people cheat, people hurt other people for reasons we cannot even begin to fathom. There are varying shades of grey in this world, and to sit on the internet and pretend to have all of the answers is extremely naive.

What we do know is this. Carlson preyed on innocent children. Gender is irrelevant, because even if he did identify as a homosexual deep down inside, his personal motives cannot be ascribed to any other individual. The reason we are discussing Carlson is because he was a pedophile. To try to distort that fact to make a political point is cheap and underhanded.

It’s 2012, time to evolve.

Ah he lived as a heterosexual male because he brought his wife to private and public events. He was seen in the community as a heterosexual male. He was not “seen” by the community at large as a homosexual.

Thanks for that…I find it curious that one had to have been an inmate at Sing Sing in order to have studied for the Masters in Professional Studies that Carlson received….A copy of the diploma is in the state police report….What was Carlson in jail for that gave him access that masters course………………Also there are plenty of very good pastors and ministers who we never went to a seminary or were ordained by a bishop…

From what little WE know about the abuse he continued a sexual relationship with one of his victims past the age of 18. I am not a psychiatrist and I don’t believe you are either so I think I will leave the determination if an illicit relationship that began as sexual abuse of a child that continues beyond the age of 18 becomes a “homosexual” relationship or the continuation of the sexual abuse that began during childhood. Since the victim has become dependent and remains dependent on the actor I would wager that it would be considered a continuation of the sexual abuse that began as a minor.

Please note the medical definition (and for that matter the legal one) focus is solely on the AGE of the victim, not the gender.

Exactly, and some pedophiles like both sexes to abuse along with multiple heterosexual affairs while being married.  It is far more complicated than people just blah, blah, blahing here.  Far more sexual child abusers are identified as heterosexual is what the data shows.
