HAMPDEN, Maine — Jason M. Leighton, son of Steven Leighton and Lynn Leighton Owen, joined the U.S. Air Force after graduating from Hampden Academy in 2001. He attained the rank of technical sergeant and recently was accepted to Officer Candidate School in Alabama.
