GLENBURN – Fern Grace Ward, formerly of LaGrange and Dawsonville, Ga., ended her battle with vascular dementia Aug. 2, 2012, surrounded by her family. She was born Oct. 27,1930, in Old Town, the daughter of Leroy and Nina Feero.
Fern is survived by her children, Helen, Rena, Arthur, Linwood and Dawn and their spouses; sisters, Beatrice, Evie, Lillian and Louise; brothers, Nelson and James; eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Many, many thanks to the staff at Orono Commons for their love, support and excellent care.
A celebration of her life will be held 6 p.m. Aug. 15 at Alton Methodist Church.
