BANGOR, Maine — A Bangor man was arrested for violating one of the terms of his probation Sunday night after police were called to check on his well-being.
Robert Kennedy, 35, had been riding his bicycle shortly before 10 p.m. when he fell off it at the intersection of Cedar and Hammond streets, Bangor police Sgt. Bob Bishop said Monday.
When Bangor police Officer Kyle Pelky arrived at the scene, he determined that Kennedy was on probation and that as a condition of his release, Kennedy was prohibited from consuming alcohol.
In March of this year, Kennedy was sentenced to 18 months in prison, all but 90 days suspended, followed by one year of probation, and ordered to pay $439.90 in restitution for a burglary conviction.
Also at that time, he was sentenced to 15 days in jail for each of his convictions for theft, criminal trespass and violating the conditions of his release, according to a court listing in the Bangor Daily News archives.

Thank Heavens, caught the dastardly Bicycle Drunk and got him off the roads…Boy do i feel safer now!!!
Perhaps he should start riding a tricycle.
Its better to fall of the wagon.
Yeah, me too man! Wanna go for a joy ride sometime now that the streets are completely safe from this terrible, future mass murderer?
Do the cops always show up when someone falls off a bike, or did this guy just have the worst luck of his life?
Nah, they were on their way to Dunkins and just happened to notice it.
New Olympic sport!!
Dude, if you want to ride a bicycle drunk, do not fall off. The cops won’t pick you up then.
