OAKFIELD – Ruby Fowler Kelley, 92, wife of the late Emerald Kelley of Oakfield, died Aug. 10, 2012, in Houlton. She was born Sept. 5, 1919, the daughter of William and Elizabeth (Fredericks) Fowler.
Ruby graduated from Oakfield Community High School, class of 1938. She studied bookkeeping in Houlton, then worked for Bangor and Aroostook Railroad, where she met her husband of 58 years. Together they worked in the Red & White store, Oakfield. They were members of Oakfield Baptist Church, where they served as treasurer, deacon and deaconess.
Ruby is survived by her son, James Kelley and his wife, Linda, of Floral City, Fla.; her daughter, Jane Lenentine and her husband, Wayne, of Houlton; son-in-law, Joseph Anderson of Smyrna; five grandchildren, Alan and Pamela Anderson of Bangor, Adam and Eliza Anderson of Smyrna, Mason and Saundra Kelley of Seattle, Heather and Tony Signoretti of Floral City, Fla., and Lisa and Corey Anderson of Hampden; seven great-grandchildren, Zachary, Nicholas, Lillian, Savannah, Isaiah, Isabella Judith and Cole Signoretti; and her very loving “Madigan” family. She was predeceased by her husband, Emerald Kelley; her daughter, Judith Anderson; and her grandson, Troy Anderson.
Friends may call noon until time of the memorial 2 p.m. Wednesday at Dunn Funeral Home. Graveside committal will take place 2:50 p.m. Wednesday at Oakfield Cemetery.
