BANGOR, Maine — A 27-year-old Bangor man was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge Tuesday night after he reportedly failed to heed a disorderly conduct warning he was given on Court Street and tried to flee from police when they returned to the area.
Stephen Nason, 27, was arrested shortly afterward on nearby Hammond Street, where he was spotted entering an apartment building, Bangor police Sgt. Paul Edwards said Wednesday.
Edwards said that Nason was starting to lunge at a police officer when he was apprehended in a doorway.
According to the arrest report, Nason wasn’t hard to locate. He was shirtless and wearing a large chain around his neck when the episode took place, Edwards said.
Nason was released on bail on Wednesday, a Penobscot County Jail official said.

This is worthy of the newspaper?? why???
Shiftless Shirtless Suspect Subdued!
Well worthy of the Bangor Daily Planet.
I thought all disorderly conduct arrests involved a shirtless drunk redneck…by the name of Ronnie Dobbs.
Had a large chain around his neck… All he needs now is an anchor
No shirt, no shoes, no service … (just an arrest)
Unless this was Hugh Jackman, Matthew McConahey, Ryan Reynolds, or some other hunk, why would it matter that he was shirtless? If it was any of the gentlemen mentioned, then he would have rated the article plus a photo spread. Otherwise, who cares?
I better watch myself in Bangor, I didn’t even know being shirtless was a crime!
