LINCOLN – Raymond H. Jordan Jr., 70, passed away peacefully Aug. 13, 2012, at Colonial Healthcare, Lincoln. He was born Feb. 22, 1942, in Chester, the son of Raymond H. Jordan Sr. and Madeline Jordan.
He resided in Chester most of his life. His love for music and playing guitar stayed with him even at his sickest. He was a hard worker and enjoyed the simple things of life like camping, hunting, “Hee-Haw,” popcorn and fudge on Saturday nights.
He was predeceased by his father, Raymond; his mother, Madeline, in February 2012; and his brother, Dale, in March 2012. He is survived by his children: sons, Raymond Jordan III of Howland and John Jordan and his wife, Patty, of Lincoln; daughters, Laurie Rufo and her husband, Mark, of Enfield and Lorna Drost and her husband, Kenton, of Howland; as well as Brandon and Ashley Jordan of Kansas; 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; sisters, Pauline Whitney and Harlan of Chester and Leta King and Ken of Bangor; brother, Jeff Jordan and his wife, Joleen, of Lincoln; sister-in-law, Norma Jordan of Lincoln; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday. Interment will be at South Chester Cemetery. Those who wish may sign an online register and leave written condolences at www.clayfuneralhome.com.
