Serving Beer to drunks is against the law. I hope the police are watching whats going on.
How do you figure they’re drunk? They appear to be singing along with the music, having a good time and partaking in beverage. I guess we should all sit at home, drink water and stare at the walls.
push- you always have a button to push… lol. Everything is fine at the waterfront.
Big Head Todd and The Monsters rule! Great show! Thank you WFC!
BHTM are incredible. I wish they could have played longer. They can do a 2 hour set easily. Todd Park Mohr is a truly amazing guitarist. Overall, I thought last night’s concert was outstanding.
pushtheREDBUTTon, why is your cup always half empty ? Maybe you should fill it up with a little bourbon.
Not only does the Waterfront staff trained Alcohol Enforcement people at each beer tent as well as roaming the venue, Bangor PD has a strong presence at each as well. Whats your beef?
I don’t want my tax dollars paying for extra police to watch concert goers.
Killer show!!! but Waterfront still hasnt gotten a clue when it comes to the saying…”need more porta-potties!’ damn cheap skates..
Awesome show. Well behaved crowd too. Any chance the BDN can get some coverage of these shows that mean something like concert reviews of old? Find somebody interested in music that has an open mind and can write. Get Kevin Bennett to take a few pictures. We get some real name brand acts up here now and the whole thing deserves better coverage than articles like this. I mean in this case it looks like the writer split while it was still daylight. Or maybe an updated and expanded version will be published tomorrow.
Here’s a teaser example for you: ” Tonight’s show culminated a 7 week tour and even on the last night the musicians really appeared to be having fun and enjoyed playing. Several times different members of the bands joined the act onstage for a song or two and the results were always interesting. Who’d ever thought they’d hear Big Head Todd and the Monsters play Springsteen’s Rosalita with John Popper joining in, and they rocked the place with it too. ”
There. Take it and run with it.
Well, I don’t know exactly how much coverage this deserves after the fact. I would think that coverage before the show would be useful to make people aware of the show, so that people could go and buy tickets. After the show, a pic is fine.
No video? The Nuge and the Beach Boys got video. Maybe the BDN servers couldn’t handle all of the awesome that a video of this show would contain.
GREAT show, but I agree the porta potty shortage is an issue! 20 minutes in line to use a full to the seat porta potty…YUCK!!!!
My nephew went to this I hope he had an awesome time!!!
Neat! I think my cousin saw your nephew!
Tremendous show yet again for WCS! Highlighted for me by Blues Traveler’s cover of “Sledge Hammer”, Bare Naked Ladies “If I had a million dollars” (with John Popper absolutely wailing on the harp) and Big Head Todd’s “Bittersweet”. My only complaint, as with others, was the porta-potty situation. Kind of sad when that line is longer than the beer line. But there is no way that little inconvienence could even come close to making the evening anything but positive.
Did not make it to this show, as schedule got tied up, but i hear it was awesome
NICE!!! did not go to this show….but am difinitely looking forward to the show this Wednesday to see Lita Ford, Poison Deff Leppard!!! Wooooooooooo!!!!
