MILFORD, Maine — Two bicycles were stolen from different homes earlier this month, and police are asking for the public’s help in finding the person responsible.
The bikes were taken from homes on 120 and 125 Main Road on Wednesday, Aug. 8, according to a Maine State Police press release.
The bicycle taken from 120 Main Road was located down the street in
the First Congregational Church parking lot with a woodland
camouflage Bible carrier with correspondence for a “Dan” inside, the release states.
The bicycle stolen from 125 Main Road is still missing and is described as a black Cannondale bike with reflective tape around the frame.
The suspect in the theft was caught on a home surveillance
camera at 120 Main Road.
The man was shirtless, but carrying a gray colored T-shirt, wearing green sweatpants and white sneakers. He has dark hair and appears to be in his late teens or early 20s, is approximately 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, and has a muscular build, according to police.
The suspect also appears to have a tattoo of a cross or crucifix on his left shoulder and upper back.
If you have any information on the thefts or the man spotted in the surveillance images, call Trooper Michael Johnston at 866-2121.

This is news?!
Sure it is. Not satisfied? Ask the BDN for a refund.
Let someone steal your $2,000+ Cannondale and see if you deem it newsworthy.
You apparently have no concept of the value of these bikes. Cannondales range in price from $2,000 to more than $8,000. For me, that’s like having my car stolen. It’s news.
For that much it should have an alarm system.
Almost heartening to see a “minor” bike theft rather than the drugs, assaults, & murders…
Ahhh the good ol’ days.
Master Lock $12.99
huh ? lets see there’s a pic of him, also a tat of a cross, and they know his height, weight ,hair color, etc etc..and the State police can’t find this person ? God forbid they ever have to solve a serious crime. Where’s Barney Fife when you need him.
