MERRILL – James T. Roach, 86, died Aug. 22, 2012, in Bangor. He was born April 17, 1926, in Merrill, the son of James and Vera (Tozier) Roach.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II and Korea. He was a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Elks Lodge.
He is survived by his grandson, Shawn Roach of Connecticut; a sister, Corris Giggey of Orono; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a special caretaker, Randy Rockwell and Ottie. He was predeceased by his parents; a son, David Roach; and siblings, Eugene, Isabelle McNelly and Nellie Prince.
Friends may call 1-2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24, at Bethel Pentecostal Church, Oakfield, where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. with the Rev. Sterling Lawrence officiating.
