HOULTON, TIFTON, Ga., and MATTAWAMKEAG – Tonya L. Graham, 62, went to heaven Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012, to be with her mom and dad, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. She was born Feb. 15, 1950, in Houlton, to Chester and Gladys (Howard) Harris.
Tonya held a variety of jobs during her lifetime from Maine to Florida. She had a big heart and we will all miss her unforgettable smile.
Tonya is survived by her beloved son, Jeremy and fiancee, Christa, of Tennessee; granddaughter, Darian of Florida; sister, Vicki Stanley and husband, John, of Mattawamkeag; two nieces, Wendy Briggs of Medway, and Jodi Vaznis and husband, Bob; nephew, Jarod Briggs and wife, Debbie, all of Millinocket; and best friend and companion, Lawrence “Mitch” Mitchell of Georgia, who comforted and cared for her to the end. Tonya will also be missed by her rescue cat, Precious.
Friends are invited to visit with the family at 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday at Dunn Funeral Home with the funeral immediately afterward with Pastor Mark York officiating.
