DIXMONT – Scott A. Norris, 45, died Aug. 29, 2012, at a Bangor hospital after a short illness. He was born Sept. 3, 1966, in Bangor, the son of Clifton and Cleora (Waining) Norris.
He attended Nokomis High School, Newport. Scott married Kim E. Arnold, Feb. 14, 1991, in Dixmont,, where they have made their home. Scott was a handy man and a stay-at-home father to his children. He enjoyed working with his friends and neighbors, helping them with their odd jobs and anything that could be done in the outdoors. He loved the outdoors, especially while he was fishing, camping, four-wheeling and snowmobiling.
Scott is survived by his wife, Kim E. Norris of Dixmont; daughter, Alicia Norris of Texas; son, Chris Becker of California; two brothers, Wayne Norris and wife, Priscilla, of Dixmont, and Keith O. Norris of Dixmont; four nieces and nephews, Hannah Norris, Allen Norris, Lance Norris and Levi Vigue; and several cousins.
Graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, at Dixmont Corner Cemetery, Route 9, Dixmont, with the Rev. Keith W. Rose officiating. After the graveside service a celebration of Scott’s life will be held at Gold Crest Riders Club House, Bates Road, Dixmont.
