WATERVILLE, Maine — A teenage boy is facing a trio of charges after he grew agitated at a music store clerk on Tuesday, according to police.

The 17-year-old from Waterville was angry because he “felt he had been cheated on some transaction” at Bull Moose Music on Main Street, Waterville Deputy Chief Charles Rumsey said.

When the clerk ordered the boy to leave, he refused to comply, Rumsey said, going outside the store but remaining on the property. The teen also pushed over a music display case while inside, police say.

When police arrived and tried to speak with the boy and charge him with criminal mischief, he grew angrier and tried to leave, Rumsey said.

The suspect “resisted very violently,” Rumsey said, but officers were able to subdue him and place him in custody.

The teen was charged with with refusing to submit to arrest, criminal mischief and terrorizing, Rumsey said. He was booked into the Waterville police station and released.

    1. I know, right?  First LePage is taking entire businesses to China with him, and now the whole city of Waterville is in jail for fighting with the cops?  What the hell is going on in this state?  Rivers and seas boiling, dogs and cats living together, mass hysteria.

  1. BDN change the headline to reflect the story.I had to read and re read it then look at the article just because I couldn’t believe it.Maybe Waterville “teen” in custody, may make for better understanding.

  2. I see the BDN’s editors are asleep at the keyboard again.

Must be a mighty full Kennebec County Jail if the City of Waterville is in custody for the listed charges tonight.

BDN for the love that is all good on God’s little green earth PROOFREAD your headlines “Waterville in custody after causing disturbance at Bull Moose, resisting arrest, police say” Really????

  3. Isnt there a specific word missing from this headline?  I think the word EDIT comes in handy right about now.

  4. Just quite curious, but how does Waterville go in to custody.  Great, now someone has to bail waterville out of jail

  5. I was in the plaza shopping at JCpenny’s  when i saw the commotion, but did not have time to go see what was going on.
