FARMINGDALE – Harold Robert Wood passed away Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012.
Harold was a good and kind man who provided for his family. He was a gentle man and a good friend. He entered the Army during World War II at age 16 and earned the World War II Victory Medal. He is now at peace after a long illness.
He was predeceased by his loving wife, Priscilla Agnes Clark Wood. Surviving are his daughters, Carolyne and Vicki; three granddaughters, Erica, Isra and Dementra; two sisters, Gertrude and Barbie; many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services with military honors will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7, at the old Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Civic Center Drive, Augusta. In his remembrance, donations may be made to the Veterans Affairs Hospital at Togus, NHCU73. Arrangements are under the care of Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner.
