PORTLAND, Maine — Portland police arrested a 38-year-old man after he threw a brick through the front entrance to the police department.
Around 8:30 p.m. Saturday night, Jeffrey Nason walked into the police department lobby complaining that someone outside was “accosting” him about his New York Yankees hat, according to Lt. Robert Doherty.
After he left the building a few minutes later, he threw a brick through a glass door, according to police. Doherty said the police report didn’t indicate why Nason threw the brick.
Nason was arrested and charged with aggravated criminal mischief. He was taken to Cumberland County Jail.

yep blame it on the hat serves you right get a red sox cap next time
He probably would have thrown two bricks with a red sox hat, GO YANKEES
thats what got him in trouble dont were the wrong hat remember were you are people have goten killed for wearing the wrong clothing
You obviously have not heard about the person wearing the red sox shirt in Boston, let me remind you, who assaulted a yankee fan, felony assault. Great red sox fans i admit

Pure genius.
Bath salts paranoia? I’m surprised he wasn’t having bricks thrown at him! I made sure I didn’t wear my Sox cap to St. Louis yesterday!
He probably threw a strike with the brick! Thats one more strike than all of Red Sox pitching all season!
He was charged with aggravated criminal mischief and for wearing a New York Yankees hat.
Got to watch out for those Yankee fans. Short fuse.
