More than 650 people filled the Collins Center for the Arts at the University of Maine Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, to celebrate and remember Honors College Dean Charlie Slavin, who passed away suddenly in July.

i worked for a contractor that did renovations to his building, he was a great person to talk to. rest in peace
This “story” reads like most of the text got accidentally erased! It seems inordinately brief given the importance of the occasion.
Is that all BDN can write of a great man? Over 650 attended and you write one sentence! Why did you even bother? What a joke in journalism. Just ridiculous.
