DAHLONEGA, Ga. – Mrs. Thelma Barker Malone, 97, died Nov. 4, 2011, at Gold City Convalescent Home.
Mrs. Malone was a native of Millinocket and lived in North Palm Beach, Fla., for 45 years. She worked for Pratt & Whitney for 25 years, and volunteered as a “Pink Lady” at Palm Beach Gardens Hospital. She was also the past president of her local chapter of Beta Sigma Phi.
She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Elwood R. Malone. She is survived by her sister, Margaret Gallant; nephews, Steve Gallant and Mark Gallant, both of Dahlonega, Ga., and Timothy Buchanan of Arkport, N.Y.; nieces, Diane Buchanan of St. George and Gilda Stratton of Millinocket; several other nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, at Millinocket Cemetery. Local arrangements are by Lamson Funeral Home, Millinocket.
