ROCKLAND, Maine — A Rockland police officer had to draw his firearm over the weekend to apprehend a 28-year-old man who trashed an apartment and threatened a woman.
Albert L. Fogg was arrested Saturday evening for domestic violence reckless conduct, reckless conduct, and criminal mischief. He made an initial appearance Monday afternoon in Rockland District Court where bail was set at $1,000 cash.
According to affidavits filed in court by Rockland police, Officer Andrew Redden responded to the report of a disturbance at the Fogg residence.
When Redden arrived, he was informed by the female victim in the case that Fogg had a knife. The officer drew his weapon and asked Fogg to stand up and show his hands.
Fogg initially failed to follow the demand and took steps toward the officer at which time the officer aimed his gun at Fogg and repeated his demand.
Eventually, Fogg opened his hands and dropped cigarettes and a lighter and told the officer that he tossed the knife across the room as the officer arrived.
The woman told Sgt. Don Finnegan, who also responded to the call, that Fogg had come home intoxicated after being at a bar and then demanded she make him something to eat. An argument developed and he took a liquor bottle and threw it at the woman. The bottle broke and part of it landed in an aquarium. He also broke her television set, and there was glass all over the floor.
The woman was cowering in the corner of the apartment when the officer first arrived.
Fogg has two prior convictions for terrorizing.
He remained at the Knox County Jail in Rockland.

Fogg has two prior convictions for terrorizing.
Honestly, i dont know about all of you but i am so tired of hearing about this crap. Someone, please make a law that when officers come in and find some woman cowering from a COWARD that beats up on a woman and trashes everything they own, that we can just put em in shackles and drop them off at some island….lets put them out of their own and everyone else’ misery.

You said it yourself, the terrorizing charges are from when he was 18 and he is now 28. If he hasn’t changed after 10 years, he probably isn’t going to. I’ve been in the same boat you are in now.
ok I see ur point but my point is 10 yrs with out a charge I mean really! I just really think that if stuff is going to be written it should b the true facts not bogus ones!!!!!! i dont care that he is sittin there! But Im not goin to let ANYONE go down for charges they didnt do!!!! NOBODY knows how our life is but close friends and family soooooooooo my life might not b the same as yours! just saying!
When you called the police to remove him, you opened the door to public opinion. It is our tax dollars that paid for the police to handle your marital issues. Too many of us have heard about similar stories, that have had tragic endings. He may be the nicest guy in the world, but 3 “noted” acts of terrorizing in 10 years say otherwise. And how many other times have there been when the police were not called………. If you don’t like the comments, don’t read them. In any case, best wishes. It sounds like you need them.
Seriously ? You are TEXT BOOK !! Please get some help before something worse happens that leaves you unable to post here in the bdn. And if you didnt think you were in danger then WHY did you call the cops ?
