HERMON – Flora E. Sewell, 82, died Sept. 24, 2012, at her residence after a period of ill health. She was born July 28, 1930, in Exeter, the daughter of Harrison Erwin and Gertrude (Strout) Bragg.
She graduated from Corinna Union Academy and also graduated from Zion Bible School, Providence, R.I., in 1952. Flora was married to Herbert C. Sewell for 53 years. He predeceased her Oct. 1, 2005.
She is survived by one son, Wayne Sewell of Waldorf, Md.; one stepgranddaughter, Kele Bourdeau of Burlington, Vt., and two great-grandchildren, Phinneus and Zachary. She will be remembered by special friends, Michael and Karen Ross and family. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her two infant children, Pamela Jean and Sheldon Brent; and three brothers and a sister, Rae Bragg, Maurice Bragg, Herbert Bragg and Elizabeth Bragg Hall.
Graveside services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Etna.
