DOVER-FOXCROFT – Jason Lee Raymond, 34, died Sept. 25, 2012, with his family at his side at a Bangor hospital. He was born Oct. 14, 1977, in Biddeford, the son of Bruce and Suzanne (Cox) Raymond.
He graduated from Foxcroft Academy, in 1997, and later he went on to earn an associate degree in computer networking, where he graduated with honors and received the Excellence in Technology Award at Eastern Maine Technical College. Jason will always be remembered as the bravest, strongest, determined, most sincere, loving, kind and gentle person that one could ever hope to know. Born with a rare birth defect, although it affected his physical body, his spirit was never broken. Jason was an avid computer geek, as well as a lover of all genres of music and literature. Jason loved his cats, his favorite being yellow tigers.
In addition to his parents, Jason leaves behind a sister, Christian Raymond Slimi and her husband, Hamid, who reside in Mississauga, Ontario; and a brother, Paul Anthony Raymond of Dover-Foxcroft. He is also loved by many aunts and uncles, who reside all over the world. Nothing compares to his adoration of his five nephews and nieces, Malek, Maryam, Mona, Adam and Haytham Slimi.
Friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, at Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft. A celebration of life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at Living Word Assembly of God with the Rev. Thomas Bruce officiating. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Bangor Humane Society, 693B Mount Hope Ave., Bangor, ME 04401.
