PORTLAND, Maine — Officials say a woman whose car crashed into Portland Harbor was pulled from the sinking vehicle.
WMTW-TV says two people who witnessed the crash Friday afternoon jumped into the water and pulled the woman to safety through the car’s back window.
The car went out of control on India Street, crashing through two fences before splashing into the water next to the cruise ship Yorktown.
The Portland Press Herald quoted emergency workers as saying the driver may have suffered a medical problem. Her condition was not known.
For people that may have family in the area, wouldn’t a discription of the make, model etc. be nice to help filter out the number of people wondering if it is a friend or family member? Sometimes no news is better than half the news.
