WINDHAM – Peter James Bernaiche, 60, passed away Sept. 30 2012, at Franklin Memorial Hospital, Farmington. Son to Wilbert Bernaiche and Pauline Graham, Peter was born in Waterbury, Conn., March 25, 1952.
Among his many hobbies, Peter was well known for his fondness of fishing. He was also a talented wood sculptor and sketch artist. As a child, Peter loved to sing in church. He had an undeniable zest for life. Throughout the years, Peter was occupied as a jack-of-all-trades. He had an affinity for construction work, and later in life could be found working in security. Peter was married to Linda Osborne of Winslow, for 12 years. Together they welcomed two beautiful girls into this world.
Peter is survived by his mother, Pauline Graham Bernaiche of Freedom; daughter, Tarra Lynn Bernaiche of Madrid; daughter, Jessie Marie Bernaiche and significant other, John Ricci, of Starks; grandchildren, Briana James, Brooklyn James, Sage Webster and Lachlan Marble; sister, Candace Ladner and husband, Arthur, of Perham; sister, Sandra Gould and husband, Doug, of Freedom; many other cousins and nephews; and dear friend, Richard of Windham. He was predeceased by his father, Wilbert Joseph Bernaiche; and sister, Bonnie Sue-Ann Bernaiche. Peter was loved greatly by all who knew him. His passing is a great loss to his family.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at 104 Albion Road, Freedom. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations be made to American Liver Foundation.
