BANGOR – Bertha L. (Lindsay) White, 55, passed away Oct. 6, 2012, at her home. She was born July 14, 1957, in Houlton, the daughter of Ivan J. and Anna M. (McCausland) Lindsay.
Bertha graduated from Bangor High School, class of 1976. She worked at Bangor Convalescent Center for six years. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and braiding rugs.
Surviving, in addition to her mother, are one daughter, Angela Watson-Nichols and her husband, Gary; two beautiful grandchildren, Coby Lee Cunningham and Jena M. Watson; dear friend, Jeff Spencer; seven sisters, Bernice E. Lindsay, Edna Clark, Ella Grant, Debra McPhail, Tina Spencer, Donna Allen and Trina Farrenkopf; many nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and many friends. She was predeceased by her father; her beloved husband of 21 years, Samuel White; a granddaughter, Rowan Nichols; and two brothers, James and John.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. Private interment will be at Pine Hill Cemetery, Orrington. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor, after the service.
