WATERVILLE, Maine — A heated argument between a boyfriend and girlfriend Monday night resulted in the woman slapping the man in the face and her cooling off in jail, police said.
Michaela St. Jean, 23, of Waterville is facing a charge of domestic violence assault and was also summoned for possession of drug paraphernalia after officers allegedly found a glass pipe with marijuana residue upon searching her, according to Waterville Deputy Chief Charles Rumsey.
A neighbor of St. Jean’s at 6 Gold Street heard screaming and banging in the apartment around 6 p.m. and notified police, Rumsey said.
When officers arrived, the male indicated St. Jean had slapped him in the face several times during an argument that Rumsey said involved a lot of screaming.
St. Jean was placed under arrest and reportedly didn’t go quietly, kicking the bottom glass portion of a screen door after police had handcuffed her, police said.
St. Jean was booked into the Waterville police station and later released on bail.
Probably back together already.

This has nothing to do with politics and everything to do with the dramatics that are encouraged and portrayed on “reality series”, where dysfunctional relationships are the rule and not the exception. From the nastiness that comes from the mouths of far right wing conservatives, civility has died a horrible death.

It has been my experience that people who qualify for free phones are usually without any particular political view at all. Survival is what they are after and they don’t particularly care about politics nor do they understand how politics affect their daily lives.

What on earth does this have to do with the subject? Politics does not belong in a discussion about domestic violence. (And I do not believe that this is how it will turn out unless the GOP succeeds in supressing the vote. )

My, how times have changed. Go to the jail intake sites and half of those arrested are women. Sugar and spice and everything nice? Not anymore.
