ORONO AND ELLSWORTH – Barbara Page Ray, 93, died Oct. 14, 2012, at an Ellsworth health care facility. She was born Feb. 1, 1919, in Orono, daughter of Arthur Given Chadbourne and Josephine Harriet (Lincoln) Page.
Barbara was a secretary for the town of Orono Water Co. for many years. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed weaving.
She is survived by a nephew, Lincoln Page of Albany, N.Y.; niece, Deborah Page Marcus of Cornell, N.Y.; five great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Alex Ray.
Friends are invited to call 9-10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth, where a funeral service will begin 10 a.m. Interment will be at Remick Cemetery, Ellsworth.
