HOLDEN, Maine — National Rifle Association president David Keene is visiting Holden on Thursday to support U.S. Senate candidate Republican Charlie Summers.

A gathering will be held at noon at Maine Military Supply, 179 Main Road.

Summers, a Navy Reserves commander who served as a public affairs officer in Afghanistan and Iraq, is running against independent candidates Angus King, Andrew Ian Dodge, Steve Woods and Danny Dalton and Democrat Cynthia Dill to replace Sen. Olympia Snowe, a three-term senator and former eight-term U.S. House member, who is stepping down at the end of the year.

  1. Charlie Summers can get all dressed up in Camo Fatigues ,  march around the store and grunt all he wants!

I won’t Vote For “Anyone” Who Signs A Pledge To Grover Norquist thus violating his Oath of Office to support the Maine Consititution that clearly States that the Legislature –“will not in any manner surrender the power of taxation” !

    Move on folks!

It’s “ALL” just part of the Show!

  2. Though I love my guns the NRA is nothing more that a tool of the extreme wing of what used to be the Republican Party. If they support Summers that should be all the reason you need to not to support him.
