FALMOUTH, Maine — A Falmouth man who allegedly threatened his neighbor with a pair of scissors during an altercation is facing charges, police said.

Police were called to a Gray Road apartment around 9 a.m. Oct. 10 when an argument between Matthew Allen, 31, and a neighbor escalated out of control, Falmouth police Lt. John Kilbride said.

Kilbride said Allen threatened to stab the other man in the eye with the scissors.

Allen was arrested and charged with criminal threatening, a Class D misdemeanor, Kilbride said.

Allen was booked into the Cumberland County Jail and later released on bail.

  1. Had nothing to do with booze or drugs, did it?  Folks always get up early to have a brawl around 9AM?  More like they coked it up all night and had a squabble about who promised to pay for the next forty.  Just saying.  LOL

  2. Mom always said, “Never run with scissors…” especially if they’re pointed at somebody’s eyeball.  Gotta love it:  Armed and scissorous.
