He then worked for the U.S. Postal Service for several years until he retired. He has been living in the Washington, D.C., area for more than 40 years. He loved God, his country and his family, especially his grandchildren of which he talked about constantly. He quietly showed us how to love unconditionally, never counting the cost. He was compassionate, loving and kindhearted. He always put others needs ahead of his own and never complained of his pain even to death. He is loved and missed by all that knew him. www.josephgawlers.com
