WHITING – Earl Loyd Myers Jr., 69, died Oct. 23, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born Jan. 24, 1943, son of the late Earl Sr and Elsie (McLaughlin) Myers.
He was a graduate of Washington Academy, and the University of Maine, Orono with a BS in History, M.S. In Education, and CAS in Marine Biology. He was a member of Phi Kappa Phi. He worked as a border patrol agent, a deputy sheriff, high school science teacher, Manpower, and was assistant director of adult education at W.C.V.T.I. He was a 32nd degree Mason of Washington Masonic Lodge No. 37 AF & AM, Lubec, a noble of Anah Shrine, and ham radio operator WA1-JQW. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Charlene (Hayward) Myers; children, Laurence Myers and wife, Dolores, Deborah Jamieson and husband, Robert, Loyd Myers and wife, Yesenia, and Donna Myers; grandchildren, Laurence and Michelle Myers, Brittney, Rachael, Catherine, and Robert Jr. Jamieson, Felipe, Adrian and Branden Garcia, Colby and Daniela Myers.
Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at Dennysville Cemetery with Rev. Windhorst officiating, followed by Masonic services.
