BANGOR, Maine — Next week Bangor voters will have a chance to cast their ballots early, before the potential arrival of whatever is left of Hurricane Sandy.

The Bangor Civic Center will be open to voters from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, Oct. 29-Nov. 1.

Nov. 1 also is the deadline for requesting an absentee ballot. The city has issued 3,400 absentee ballots, City Clerk Lisa Goodwin said Thursday.

Votes may be cast from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 6.

  1. We always worry about how much it costs to ID voters but no one complains about opening the polls early for people to vote.  I wonder how much that costs the taxpayers of Bangor and other communities.
