FARMINGTON, Maine — A local man pleaded not guilty Friday in Franklin County Superior Court to invading the privacy of homeowners and stalking them this week, according to officials.
Larry Buckman, 63, was charged Tuesday with invasion of privacy after homeowners told police they saw him peering into a window of their house on Moore Avenue, Farmington Police Department secretary Bonnie Pomeroy said. Buckman said he was looking for a lost cat, she said.
Police were called to the home Thursday night when Buckman was seen looking in the window again and the homeowners detained him, Pomeroy said. Farmington police Officer Ted Neil arrested him on a charge of stalking, because it was the same residence and the same criminal behavior, she said.
In court Friday, defense attorney Kevin Joyce asked for $100 bail, but Assistant District Attorney James Andrews objected because Buckman has five convictions for privacy violations since 1997.
Bail was set at $1,000. Buckman remained at the Franklin County Detention Center, according to an officer at the jail.
Five times in five years? Time for some action judges. Or the homeowner should get a Louisville slugger and sneak up behind him…..
Oh, a peek-freak, eh? Considering a lot of folks have bedrooms on the 2nd floor, he may have got a peek at people watching TV or eating dinner… So hung up on his little hobby that he apparently doesn’t realize it’s okay in several states to shoot guys who peek in windows — not even a court case. So what are the options for this caught-once-a-year peeker? Obvious he’s not planning to stop.
1. Off to the State Loony Bin.
2. A year in jail.
3. Blind him with red-hot knitting needles (Easy, Igor, calm down!)
4. Make him write “I will not peek in windows” 1000 times a day.
Geez, more crap out of Farmington……what’s going on there??!
One day, he’ll peer in a window and see God. After the bright flash of light and a BOOM!
