BROOKLIN, Maine — A 58-year-old Brooklin man was arrested Tuesday after driving home drunk and and assaulting his girlfriend, according to Hancock County Sheriff’s Office reports.
A caller to the Hancock County dispatch reported around 4:20 p.m. Tuesday that David Harriman was driving while intoxicated. Dispatch sent deputies to locate Harriman and while they were on the road, another call came in from Harriman’s girlfriend.
The girlfriend reported that Harriman had arrived at the couple’s shared home and had assaulted her, according to the police report. Deputies responded to the home and spoke with the victim, who declined medical treatment. By the time they arrived, Harriman was on the road again, police said.
Deputy Chris Sargent caught up with Harriman on the Naskeag Point Road. Harriman was arrested on charges of domestic violence assault, operating under the influence, operating without a license and violation of conditions of release.
Harriman was brought to Hancock County Jail, where he remained as of 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

I have to say, very complimentarily, that when I have read all of the recent articles about criminal events in Hancock County, the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department strikes me as a bunch of true professionals, highly responsive to citizen needs, and unwilling to put up with the BS that these knucklehead’s insist upon repetitively practicing. Very high five to the Hancock County S.O. Thanks for being there!
If you’re hammered, drunk driving by mid-afternoon and stop over to hassle the girlfriend. YOU might be an alcoholic! LOL
can you say, too much coffee brandy!
Shouldn’t he be in a tight fitting white tank top for his portrait?
I was about to eat supper, that is, until I read your comment!
Another old timer who never matured past the age of 13. What a waste, man. Get a life you damned drunk.
So this prize ” violated conditions of release ” as well?
Hmmmm, now thats serious, right ?
Oh wait, judging from how many people are doing it ,
it really cant matter too much.
Give him a dirty look and a good talking to and turn him loose.
