CORINNA – Phyllis F. Gould, 92, died Oct. 31, 2012, at a Bangor health care facility. She was born April 12, 1920, in Island Falls, a daughter of Ambrose and Hattie (Downs) Fogg Sr.
She attended Corinna schools and was employed at Baxter and, later, Snowflake Canning Co., both of Corinna. After working for a brief time at Dexter Shoe Co., she was employed from 1967 until 1981 at Pratt & Whitney in Connecticut. She and her husband, Donald, enjoyed winters in Florida, where she belonged to First Baptist Church of Dade City. She had been a member of New Hope Baptist Church, Dexter, since 1948, where she served as a Sunday school teacher for 29 years. Phyllis and Don also attended Pleasant Street Christian Church, Corinna.
She was predeceased by her husband, Donald; a son, Gary; a sister, Margaret Seamans; and two brothers, Emerson and Ambrose Fogg. She is survived by two daughters, Elaine and husband, Bill Greenlaw, of Dexter and Nancy and husband, Vincent Morin, of Corinna; one son, Roger Cambelton and his wife, Sue, of Missouri; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, many nieces and nephews. She also cared for a number of state children who will fondly remember her.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday at Crosby & Neal Funeral Chapel, 68 Exeter Road, Corinna. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, at Pleasant Street Christian Church, Corinna, with the Rev. Harold Wheeler officiating. Burial will be at Morse’s Corner Cemetery, Corinna.
