LIVERMORE FALLS, Maine — Workers planning to winterize a house on Cedar Street on Wednesday found it stripped of about 200 feet of copper pipe, police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said Thursday.
A property management company sent the workers to the home. The pipe was cut from the plumbing system downstairs, he said. Its estimated value is $200.
The pipe is believed to have been stolen sometime in October.

Effective regulation of the local scrap metal yards would make it impossible for the thief to sell this.
What is the exchange rate for copper to bath salts these days?
Criminals from LIVERMORE FALLS have been caught commuting crimes all the way up in Skowhegan. LIVERMORE FALLS must the criminal capital of rural Maine.
But the place probably is not as bad as the murder capitol of rural Maine, Lamoine , Maine
Wow, at $3.28/lb. these boys could become so incredibly rich! Should’ve taken more math classes in school.
Scrap yards are part of this problem, they need to clean up their act.
The one in Skowhegan does a good job of not doing business with thieves bringing in stolen metals. From what i heard, they call the cops on thieves with stolen scrap
