GRAY, Maine — The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office is distributing surveillance camera images in hopes of identifying a white male who robbed a pharmacy in Gray on Sunday.
The male suspect is approximately 6 feet tall with medium build, and was last seen wearing a gray, zip-up hooded sweatshirt and dark sunglasses. The man also allegedly was seen getting into a newer-model Jeep Wrangler, colored silver or white with a dark-colored soft-top roof.
The man allegedly entered the Rite Aid pharmacy at 62 West Gray Rd. in Gray just after 1 p.m. Sunday and handed the pharmacist a note demanding prescription drugs, according to a sheriff’s office press release late Monday afternoon.
The pharmacist reportedly believed the man was armed, although no weapon was displayed, and turned over an undisclosed amount of pills, the announcement continued.
Investigators say the suspect in the Gray robbery may be the same man who attempted to rob a Rite Aid in Lewiston around noontime on Sunday. The man seen in the surveillance camera image from the Lewiston pharmacy, distributed Monday by the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, shows a man who looked the same and wore the same clothes as the suspect described by witnesses to the Gray incident.
Anyone with information about the alleged robbery in Gray is asked to contact Detective John Fournier at 774-1444, ext. 2173.

Just another day in Maine…..
Rite Aid should just change their signs to Rob Me. I’m staying out of Rite Aid stores it’s only a matter of time before someone gets smoked.
I have to admit, I keep an eye out when I have to shop at one.
And to think; these are the people who will be leading our nation in the future……………
