In just a few hours the state and the nation will have voted and the country will anxiously be awaiting word of who will serve in our government next.
In Maine, the BDN coordinates with town clerks from all over the state to make sure readers have the most up-to-the-minute election results.
Those results are published live at maineelections.bangordailynews.com and are also sent to other media outlets in Maine.
You will also be able to view results on your mobile phone at bangordailynews.com and on the BDN’s apps, which can be downloaded from the Apple App Store and the Android Marketplace.
In addition, the results the BDN collects will be broadcast on WCSH6 and WLBZ2, the NBC affiliates in Maine.
And the results will be available in Wednesday’s and Thursday’s newspapers.

Remember folks, the 2016 Presidential campaign starts tomorrow.
Good way to look at it.The worst that can happen is four more years of nothing improving.
I’m not sure why the town clerk in Bangor is taking half the night to post the results of the election. Some of the numbers seem to have been leaked to the paper, who is reporting that Gratwick won, which is great. I’d like to see the clerk get off the phone and get on the computer, so that we can all look at the results. It shouldn’t take this long to post results.
