BANGOR, Maine — Democrats in Maine retook control of both chambers of the Legislature after Tuesday’s elections, though close margins in many of the races will certainly lead to recounts.
In Maine, a recount can be requested if the margin between the top two candidates is less than 1 percent of the total number of votes cast in the race. If the margin is greater than 1 percent, a losing candidate can request a recount by filing a written request with the Secretary of State within five business days after the election. The candidate must file a deposit of $500 if the margin is within 2 percent and 4 percent, and $1,000 if the margin is greater than 4 percent. No deposit is required if the margin is less than 2 percent.
Races decided by less than 2 percent with 100 percent of precincts reporting:
— In Maine Senate District 17, incumbent Republican Garrett Paul Mason appeared to lose to Democrat Colleen Quint by a margin of 77 votes.
— In Senate District 20, Democrat Christopher Johnson won over Republican Rep. Leslie Fossel by 126 votes.
— In House District 4, Republican Carol McElwee won in a three-way race by 45 votes. Independent Mark Goughan came in second.
— In House District 29 in the Pittsfield area, Democrat Stanley Byron Short won by 15 votes over Republican Robert G. Englehardt. The District 29 seat was previously held by Republican Stacey Fitts.
— In House District 30, Republican Lawrence Lockman won over Democrat Dennis Mahar by 84 votes.
— In House District 41 in the Searsport area, incumbent Republican James S. Gillway won by 11 votes over Democrat Meredith Ares.
— In House District 45 in the Palermo area, incumbent Republican R. Ryan Harmon lost to Democrat Brian L. Jones by 26 votes.
— In House District 51 in the Damariscotta area, Democrat Michael Gilbert Devin edged Republican Alan Pinkham by just 82 votes. The seat was previously held by Republican Jonathan B. McKane.
— In House District 54 in the Winslow area, incumbent Republican Susan E. Morissette lost to Democrat Catherine M. Nadeau by 33 votes.
— In House District 70 in the Auburn area, incumbent Republican Bruce A. Bickford won by just four votes over Democrat R. Wayne Werts.
— In House District 80, Republican incumbent Melvin Newendyke lost to Democrat Rachel Sukeforth by 92 votes.
— In House District 94 in the Buckfield area, incumbent Democrat Theresa M. Hayes lost to Republican Timothy G. Turner by seven votes.
— In House District 96 in the Turner area, incumbent Republican Jeffrey L. Timberlake won by 85 votes over Democrat Lawrence G. Sirois.
— In House District 109 in the North Yarmouth area, incumbent Democrat Anne P. Graham won over Republican Susan M. Austin by 29 votes.
— In House District 127 in Scarborough, incumbent Republican Amy Volk was re-elected by just 18 votes.
— In House District 128 in Scarborough, incumbent Republican Heather Sirocki narrowly won re-election over Democrat Jean-Marie Caterina by 116 votes.
— In House District 137 in Biddeford, Republican William Guay bested Democrat Alan Casavant by 8 votes.
— In House District 144, which includes parts of Lebanon and Sanford, Republican Daniel John Archambault edged Democrat William Noon by 68 votes.

Buh bye Teabullies!
The Tea Party’s Reign of Terror is at an end.
LePage can now move to Florida.
Bye bye
Yessah
Hey Paulie…can you hear us now ?
Can you believe how quiet he’s been for the past month or so? Somebody must have put tape on his mouth.
Not enough tape on the planet to shut that cavernous mouth. They must have sutured his lips together.
I think the national R’s did an Akin on him.You know-keep your mouth shut or you won’t see a dime of dark money.
Hey Paulie, where’s “OUR” mural?
All I ever read now is Adrienne Bennett telling us what he might have said had he said it or if he wanted to say it … anyone have any idea how long it has been since he appeared at a lectern or before a microphone?
Hmmm, Adrienne Bennett? :)
It was fun while it lasted, now the tea party is over and it’s time to clean up the mess.
I got the broom, grab the dust pan and we’ll have it all cleaned up in a jiffy! I almost feel sorry for poor Mr. LePage/Quacky. Okay, no I’m just kidding. I actually hope he, his daughter and his brother-in-law all quit their State jobs today. That would save us tons of tax money and create an opening for someone with a brain to take over for the next two years. We’ll even let them keep a Republican (but no “Teas”). Isn’t Mr. Raye available for a job opening?
It’s educational to see the abusiveness of the “winners”. Instead of celebrating their win, they are still tearing people apart. Nothing is going to save tax money except, cutting back in ALL areas.
With this, the next two years of LePage watching shall be interesting, to say the very least. Lame Duck governing is not something I predict he will excel at.
I don’t know, he has a lifetime’s experience being lame.
I feel that the next two years will be a massive re-run of BLAME THE DEMOCRATS..and there is no way to escape the consequences in 2014.
This is the way the blame game is played in politics, and now it’s your turn in the box!
NO it will be UNDOING and reversing all that the R’s did .BYE BYE SUMMERS, POLIQUIN ETC .
Exactly what I expected…a RETURN TO TAX & SPEND LIBERAL POLICIES…happy days are here again, SEIU and MEA are in GLEE in more ways than one.
Looks like you’ve chosen a bunch of sour grapes here. I know it’s a downer that working people and the poor might once again be seen as human but if you don’t get used to the idea all you’ll have to eat is more of those sour grapes. Yuck!
Now where’s “OUR” MURAL!!!?
Wonder if he’s still planning the “special legislative session” he was talking about back in August. Be afraid…be very afraid. He has until January.
Not going to happen.
The GOP will be probably be ok in this state once it regains a sense of moderation – if that’s possible.
In case anyone thinks their vote is a drop in the bucket, just look at the above differentials. I’d like to say the Governor will now have to learn bipartisanship or be relegated to defending his blanket fort in the Blaine house, but the results are obviously too close yet to call.
I told myself that if the Dems won I was going to close my business and move out of state and retire. And that is just what I am going to do. So those 22 people that I employ, the state of Maine and Obama can now take care of them, the pink slips go out on Friday!
Sore looser!
You are a wonderful American. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.
If my family could afford it, we’d be right behind you. I’m tired of struggling just to survive in this State.
head to the deep south red states, they are on the bottom of every list
According to the guy you voted for, your individual worth depends on net worth — how much money you have made, and the value of the assets that money has been invested in. Any person with enough intelligence and ambition can make a fortune. Your failure to do so is sign of moral and intellectual inferiority. People who fail in the economy should not be coddled. Coddling leads to a weaker society and a weaker economy. Try prayer.
Nothing like a little GOP blackmail to start the day out
right. What are you twelve? If that’s
your attitude pal, good riddance….
The more conservatives leave ME,the better off the state is!Now if we could just get them out of the US altogether.Of course they won’t leave-nobody else wants them and no place else will give them the lavish life they have here without paying for it!
hey, they can get a minimum wage job with no benefits like you provided anywhere so you won’t be missed
And of course your employees are happy with this!! Who are you hurting? I’m sure your 22 employees are also retiring and moving to Florida??????
Goodbye.
While I do not for one minute believe that you actually employ 22 people, I would hope that it’s this kind of vindictive selfish outlook that was defeated last night.
Iknow of 25 more surprise letters coming friday also.Thank you Mr Obama and the moonbats.
Pathetic, if your business relies on democratic or republican rule then your a crapy businessman.
Don’t let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya.
I would never work for someone who was so shallow, mean and bullying that they would (1) threaten to fire their employees based upon the results of an election; (2) that was such a lousy business person that they would base their business decisions on something so far out of their control; and (3) that was so stupid as to go on a public rant and propose that this was an intelligent and rational course of action. The truth is, no capable, successful business person is going to behave this way, so these “threats” are nothing but petulant B.S. from sore losers who undoubtedly do not own businesses and do not have any employees. But it sure is fun reading!
you just do not get it.Party means nothing to business it is the whacko policy’s they bring with them.I am not saying the 25-50 employees i have heard about this morning are getting fired. Some are going to get under the 50 mark the rest are losing benefits and other things. Not because of greed or revenge. It is something the democratic party just do not seem to get.Employers need profit to survive last nights election showed them the path they need to take to survive.I hope the dems have a good relationship with walmart and target they are going to need it.
Admittedly it’s a tough world out there now but I doubt you’d do any better under a R government. I hope you’re enumerating those “wacko” policies to the people you’re canning. If you couldn’t make a profit the last 2 years what makes you think you could with an R legislature? We are talking about the Maine government here.
Basic business principle: An increase in the cost of a raw material affects all who must purchase it, and thus must be reflected in all of their pricing. No one gets disadvantaged (other than through possible substitution by other products). By the same token, a policy that increases costs for ALL businesses (and I’m not saying Democrat policies will do that), does not automatically put any particular business at a disadvantage, unless it is poorly run…in which case survival of the fittest applies. (That’s competition, right?) So, is your business well run and able to adjust, or is it poorly run and destined for Chapter 7?
Blame it on anything except the increases your team put on business. must be poorly run if i can not keep up with the cost of health care from obama.Right i just remembered my 15year old business obama and the spend other peoples money couch crowd built it for me.Wake up and take off the terrorist washington media glasses and come to reality town someday.Unlike the liar in chief news flash money does not grow on trees.Believe it or not it has to be earned not redistributed.Try it sometime it feels pretty good to be self sufficient.Do you really think business can just pass on cost to it’s customer how many 10 dollar gallons of gas you gonna buy.How about a 12 dollar loaf of bread. You got to wake up and realize it is all relevent.
Thaere have been no increases… Romney care will lower your insurance costs, just as it did in Mass…. the only way we would see $10 gas was if Romeny started a war with Iran, like HIS neo-cons wanted him too. IF you have a business, that IS successful.. someone WILL take your place! You are not the center of capitalism in Maine. And YES even liberals like capitalism!
I worked for such a person-not involving politics but he was just R O T T E N to everyone. He dropped dead at his desk at 57.No one shed a tear.
REVENGE they name is Republican.
vindictive selfish outlook was last night!
He doesn’t. He just plays one on the internet.
So you’re going to “quit and run?” Isn’t that a ROBthePUBLICAN claim. Well I’ll tell you this, I’ll believe it when I see it. What business? And I better see the closed sign go up!!! Nothing but talk. I’m sure someone else will gladly take over the spot (if it even exists) and employ people who will be glad to have an employer worth working for as opposed to someone who would make knee-jerk decisions. Taking a great deal of glee in firing people. What a joy you must be. Troll.
..as I was saying.
And we should ALL be amazed at what you said? Get a life.
Get an education, take that citizenship test, being an illegal is worrying other extremists.
Please let me know when you get your green card and your GED.
What’s your business? Just so we can come loot the place if you got anything interesting…just to help you get on quicker with moving out.
your not alone elections have consequences .Time the voters see the truth.Wait until this insurance washes out in Maine.
Give Paul a call, he might want to go with you… The only baggage he has is a sign!
and a mural –block the border and make him give it back!
Completely and utterly selfish. You definitely sound like a far right Republican.
I think you’re BS’n.
And I bet you threatened them with that as well … you should go, anyone who feels like thier irreplaceable is only kidding themselves.
P.S.
don’t let the door hit you in the keister on your way out …. Ba-by
threatened employees that if they didnlt vote R, he ( and their jobs) would go away? Now he (and the 25 other companies) has to make good on that threat. My mother taught me a long time ago “Don’t make idle threats “
These clowns of the extreme right threatened our jobs, our vote, our health care, personal reproductive responsibility, mixed religion and politics into a corrosive gruel and spent hundreds of millions doing so only to lose in the end, KARMA has a funny way of righting the wrongs of the Right.
Wah, wah, wah. I didn’t get what I wanted so I’m going to cry and fuss, and try to convince people that I’m actually a successful businessman with 22 employees, and that I’ll throw all of that in the dumpster because of an election. What a complete crock. Well here’s some advice: Go. Go now. Today. And be careful that the door doesn’t hit you on your way out. We won’t miss you a bit.
Sounds like childish BS to me. If you were really going to put 22 people out of work, you wouldn’t have a problem naming your company in your post.
So – it’s not the Democrats who are responsible for your 22 employees losing their jobs – it’s you who are responsible.
Now we Mainers get to support the people you fired!
Thanks for adding to the unemployment problem, and costing Maine citizens more money.
What a great guy you are.
The struggles for working people in ME have been brutal even since Paulie darkened our doors.Lots of TPers failed last night-Mourdock,Akin,McMahon,West,Brown,LaMontagne.
Paulie’s next.
What’s the name of your business?
I think he named it, “Me First.”
Me Only.
You don’t have to go away mad….just go away. So long sucker.
And don’t let the old door hit you in the arse on your way out, Nole. Maine won’t miss you a bit.
R’s —-a vengeful lot . good luck
Most of us have pseudonyms here, including me. Generally, it is a buffer from people from any side of the issues who might be dangerously irrational.
The down side of anonymity is that it emboldens some to be rude and denigrating in ways that most would not dare to say to someone’s face or to make grandiose statements just for affect.
You may just be spouting off or you may be serious. If you do intend to close a business that will cost at least 22 people their job, I suspect that the business is already in trouble and that you are using the election results as a scapegoat.
So, are you a phony or are you real? If you are making up your story or are using scare tactics, you should be ashamed. Since you have made a bold statement that, if true will surprise and harm employees and their families, you should have the guts to reveal your business. Do you?
try reading the so called affordable care act! look at the part where a business under 50 employees can pay the penalty.Let me think would you pay let say 150 to 200 thousand for employee insurance or would you pay 10 to 15 thousand in penalty’s.Be honest like you ask others to be. Especially in such a down economy.
Since you are an expert on the Affordable Care Act, please tell us exactly what pages you are referring too so that we may become as educated as you!!!
read more about the affordable care act —-where business with less then 25 employee get full subsidy for their employees and those with up to 50 employees get partial subsidy. Oh you missed THAT part of the bill? Or was it that the black backgrounded web sites “forgot” tot tell you that.?
Where do these subsidies come from? Are they magic? No, they come from taxes and fees that have to be collected by the government. Do you believe in the myth of “Government money”?
Such a lie!
Bye bye.
Maybe a nice democrat will take your place! …rehire those 22 people… and put more than a peice of coal in the stove.
Let’s hope it holds up. Make LePage a lame duck Gov.
What are you gonna do now Paulie LePage??? Seems like Bruce Poliquin’s meal ticket just dried up!
My predictions of last night were totally wrong.I had hoped Maine people had looked down and seen bottom.Evidently and sadly i was wrong last night we pulled the handle and put Maine on the fast track to Social and fiscal decline.Gladly i can sleep comfortable with the fact that i did my part by voting to stop this decline.Remember elections have consequences. Our children and grandchildren will pay the price.
If your predictions of the past where wrong why should anyone believe your predictions for the future will prove any different?
I’ve never forgotten that elections have consequences. The consequence of George W. Bush’s 2 terms are still reverberating.
But George W Bush doesn’t exist to the Republicans.
Still blaming bush.Last nights election showed the lack of self responsibility is alive and well in this country and Maine.
Bush did cause the recession though. We’re still working our way out of it. To pretend that his hands are clean is the true lack of personal responsibility.
Bush? Bush who? Bush doesn’t exist to the Republicans.
It only showed that Mainers aren’t as ignorant and dim you would like them to be.
I, and most citizens, did our part to stop the decline. We voted for a more robust economy and against the politics of hate and greed.
You must have a bus to catch first thing in the morning. Shouldn’t you be packing?
Just a little more collateral damage courtesy of Paul LePage.
While far right politics are not what Maine is about, in the end, it’s almost as much about style as it is about policy.
How one speaks to their constituents – how one shows respect – I don’t know how many Republicans I kept explaining this to – only to be laughed at – that diplomacy, tact and respect matters when it comes to accomplishing goals and being re-elected. Many races were decided by this x factor I am certain – not straight policy, but style.
That’s because the Republican Party has been taken over by C student blowhards.
Once reasonable Republicans take the party back we might have some civility.
I won’t hold my breath, but will be hoping for that. There are many Mainers who would be more than willing to vote for moderate Republicans, myself included. Time to come back to center. Some Dems could use the same advice.
The adults who should be running the Party need to stop listening to the nutty fundamentalist “conservatives” and realize the Small Tent politics isn’t working and will only get worse. The electorate is measurably changing, and they are in complete denial.
Worse are the actual results of this idiocy. Forget Todd Akin and Richard Mourdock…are today’s Tea Partiers satisfied that a Democratic senator in Indiana is better than a moderate Dick Lugar?
Or King instead of Snowe? They got their wish – they got rid of the “RINO”.
I still think Mitt would have been far better served after winning the nomination to move back to center – courting moderates and independents vs continuing to pander to the far right. And speaking of Snowe, I still think she would have been a brilliant choice of VP. Might not have won, but would have been closer.
The New RINOs are the Tea Party people.
These aren’t your father’s Republicans.
Not by a longshot.
They’re disgusting creeps.
Trust me the dems are not their father’s dems. JFK would be in trouble being called a dem in today’s society. Sad.
Mitt sank his ship when he picked (or allowed his handlers to pick) Ryan as his running mate.
As with Palin, it sent a signal. The wrong signal. Maybe next time they’ll get it.
Dick Lugar was the rare pol who was widely respected on both sides, especially on foreign policy.Obama could do a lot worse than have Lugar replace Richard Holbrooke.
I’ve often said in these past months that Margaret Chase Smith would not recognize this Republican Party, could she come back and survey it. Would that we had someone with the brains and the civility of Smith or Cohen serving again!
Ronald Reagan would not be allowed in the GOP today
Peter Mills. Honest, Smart, Knows Maine and Maine Government very well. LaPage should propose a lieutenant governorship, get the Legislature to authorize it for 2 years only. Get Mr. Mills in there now and Paul can schmooze and golf for 2 years.
Let’s call Peter and stay Paul.
Way to go fellow d17 voters. :D
Well well …. looks like Maine has stood up against the extreme tide of 2010. I never lost faith that more civil minds would prevail.
Have you read these posts? There is not much civility going on here.
After what the Republican Party has just tried this past election they should feel lucky that they aren’t collectively rounded up and tried for treason. As far as our good gov. goes he’s made his own bed so let him lie in it.
hopefully, the democrats will have the backbone to stand up to lepage. they need to overcome their usual spinal problems.
They CAN stand up to him now. They have the votes!!!
The fact that the only major legislation that I remember them passing was one legalizing fireworks sort of tells you where their priorities were.
Apparently the 61% has spoken. All those ROBthePUBLICan goons who got voted out can thank their decision to be lock-step with LIEpage, Fire Marshall Bill, and Herr Vebster as the reason they will be cleaning out their offices in January. Up next…let’s go after the massive give-back to the wealthy foisted upon us by LIEpage and the ROBthePUBLICans and take aim at the insurance -company- lobbyist written changes to Maine’s insurance regulation.
..as I was saying.
They can’t say they weren’t warned, Stop. Apparently, they forgot an important fact: Mainers have good memories.
Hey Paul, still want to run for another 4 years now?
I hope he does we need some sanity in Augusta.
If you consider Lepage an example of sanity, timjy, I have to wonder how “off” your wiring is.
It goes against the usual precedent, though the GOP would be better served nominating a new candidate if they want any shot. Summers 33% is about what LePage will get – matching even his original 39% seems unlikely.
I hope he runs, because he will get his butt handed to him. It will be fun to watch.
And heavy lifting at that.
When I looked up sanity I did not see anything that describes the same person I am talking about, but for the benefit of the doubt Paul is a pretty common name so perhaps I should have been more clear. The Paul I am referencing here is LePage. That should clear up any confusion
The one thing the extreme team can take from this election …. their clocks have been cleaned.
The one thing the entitlement voters can take away from this election……..Sure hope for your sake emily and ben take good care of ya.Your gonna need it.
Here’s your sign, Gov.
Interesting.
As Arte Johnson used to say, “Verrry Interesting”.
Two words for Messers Webster and LePage: opportunity squandered
Now, will the Ds come back and realize they were turned out in 2010 for a reason and need to do something differently than before, or will they think it’s a mandate to go back to their past?
The voters have spoken. They didn’t like what the R’s delivered. I’d say that is a mandate to go back to the past. But you don’t need to be afraid , D”s are not a vengeful lot. FIRST ACT—— PUT BACK THE MURAL!!!
Wow…just like LePage himself. Big problems facing the state, and what do the Ds jump to first? The mural. Reverse side of the same worthless coin.
It’s important symbolism. Symbolism is the reason LePage removed it— “we the people” and “people before politics ” and all that jazz. Now R’s get to see what “people before politics” and “we the people” actually LOOKS like and means.
The voters corrected their mistake because R’s went too far and abused their power, and embarrassed us . I’m hoping other states faired as well, with a similar D rout.
So tell me , what problems do you think 2 years of R power “solved”? As far as I can see they “created ” more problems then they actually solved .
So when did Charlie Webster get kicked out as the head of the R party and how did I miss it?
You feel better now?
Mr. Webster hasn’t been kicked out, but I am hoping he is…and soon.
How come Dave Sorenson is being called the” head of the R party” now??
Bye, bye Bruce “The Not So Artful Tax Dodger” Poliquin.
Bye, bye Charlie “Conair” Summers.
When the Governor goes to committee meetings now and raises his hand to make some strange and angry point, no one will call on him. He’s in for a long, lonely two years.
..as I was saying.
You might not care for the results, but the R party did themselves in. “Hate speech”” (I thought that was a liberal code) has been present since the bitter election between John Adams, and Thomas Jefferson. Politics is a tough game, get used to it.
If Michael Radeka couldn’t beat Kathy Cassidy in the conservative environs of deep Washington County there was something in play besides just a bunch of harsh talk.
Isn’t it ironic that the same people who constantly complain about “political correctness” are the same ones crying victim when someone calls them a name they don’t like?
Truer words were never spoken. The masters at that are the anti choice nuts. They violate every law known to man and cry to an activist judge when they get breathed on sideways.
I feel that not selecting Marco Rubio or Christy, was a major mistake…Rubio would have swept the Hispanic vote, and there is no one more middle class than Christy.
You should know better than anyone that the hate speech against Gov. LePage by Democrats was pure bile and unprecedented….There are dozens on here who compete to come up with the worse names for LePage,Nutting–who won big time, and even Romney.
Clean up your own act, before you start criticizing others who will only think you are disarming them.
We heard Obummer, Messiah, socialist, Obamao, etc. for four years straight. You don’t get to start whining about the name calling now.
Paul LePage started his term with bullying, name-calling and personal vendettas, and he has kept up his noxious behavior for two years.
That he received some of the same in return is no one’s fault but his own.
The man is a petulant, ignorant, corrupt dolt.
He fires off his loud mouthed affronts to intelligence and civil behavior on a weekly, or more frequent, basis.
He lies. He scapegoats the defenseless.
He tries to blame others for his own shortcomings.
On what basis do you believe that he deserves to be treated as if none of the above were true?
Hey Paul coffee must have tasted bitter this morning. You earned it, drink it down.
What?
No words of wisdom from the dismal Ms. Row-Spaulding?
Maybe she and El Jefe are drowning their sorrows on adjacent bar stools.
she saw the writing on the wall?? Maybe that is why LePage has been so silent ???
I’m not one for gloating but I’d love to laugh in her smarmy little face.
Great News ! The Psychos are OUT ! Now just one more Psycho to vote OUT !
The people have spoken! We look forward to having our representatives work for us instead of the interests of the wealthy and corporations.
Mary Budd: You lost because you weren’t brave enough to be fully honest. Either you are pro life and will seek to allow government once more to intrude upon a woman’s ability to make reproductive decisions privately and with her doctor, or you will be pro-privacy and state that you would affirmatively fight any attempt by government to intrude. Your position stating it should be decided by voter referendum was pure cowardice. Glad you paid the price for that.
good bye to a republican maine governor and a republican
legislative …your 15 minutes is over
Too bad the damage will last a life time… At least for me as a retired Maine educator.
☆ミ
There’s a few more I can think of who “predicted” a huge Romney win.Nice that they’re drowning their sorrows.
LaPage’s legacy……Turning once apolitical people into folks who can see the damage he has done..
No need to spend time packing when all your stuff fits in a Hannaford bag and your thumb is the bus.
Sadly, other parts of the state weren’t so lucky.Aroostook’s still screwed(not that they weren’t already)
The RTL thugs took a beating nationwide last night.I couldn’t believe the number of dominoes that fell.I was standing and applauding last night.
This article states “In Maine, a recount is triggered automatically if the margin between the
top two candidates is less than 1 percent of the total number of votes
cast in the race. If the margin is greater than 1 percent, a losing
candidate can request a recount by filing a written request with the
Secretary of State within five business days after the election.”
Can you please provide a statutory reference for this? While I also thought this to be true, I see no reference to mandatory recounts in Title 21A:
http://www.mainelegislature.org/legis/statutes/21-A/title21-Asec737-A.html
The Freakshow Begins, uneducated on important issues, yet passionate on social issues. You have it backwards… The US dollar is in the toilet and you worry about buying up more land, spending others peoples money.. You’ve been lied to right in your face and you don’t even know it.. anti-constitutionist. I hear government cheese is pretty good, see you in line for it. giggle if you must but we will see you in the bread lines.. Obamas America=everyone poor
Whew the Democrats wrested control of the legislature from the Republicans! New chance for employment for some “retired” politicians like Matt Dunlap, Joe Perry, and Cynthia Dill. Hey even a possible comeback by Dale McCormick.
I’m rethinking Citizens United …. I kinda like the idea of all the extreme right wing money pumped into an election that they planned on buying …. but in the end it was buyer beware, it didn’t work out as they planned.
My council to Republican pro-traditional family candidates who lost would be: Order the recount today and then get a minimum of five of your supporters to be present and video the entire recount and every contested ballot.
To fight evil you must understand evil.
Evil are those who have no feelings of remorse or guilt when they win by lying, cheating, stealing etc. In other words, I am convinced that the party of the democrat did to you exactly what the GOP did to you as Ron Paul supporters. Now, make no mistake about this, the mainstream GOP would rather see you loose and a supporter of the democrat in your seat that have you seated, but, a recount is hard to cheat on, if you have enough supporters there and you know the rules and have everything on video.
My final bit of council would be this; While I cannot speak for any member of Maine State Militia or any of the other seven Militias in Maine, my guess would be that if you reached out to them they would be more than glad to be part of your recount team. You reach them, if you don’t already know one or two, by simply inviting them to your recount through your press announcement announcing your decision to seek a recount.
You have only been sucker punched, you do not need to lie down and let them keep kicking, get up and fight. You do not have the time to belly ache and cry, you need to get back up.
