BELFAST and PORTLAND – “Jim” C. James Mushlit, 71, passed away Nov. 11, 2012. Jim was born July 31, 1941, in Queens, N.Y., son of Clinton and Bernice (Otto) Mushlit.
A FDNY firefighter for more than 20 years, Jim was an active member of the Belfast community, where he loved to garden, wood work, volunteer, and spend time with his wife and family.
He is survived by his wife, Betsy Mayberry; his mother, Bernice of Auburn; his five children, 15 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, his three brothers and many friends.
Family and friends will hold a celebration of his life 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, at the Kennebunkport Conservation Trust, 57 Gravelly Brook Road, Kennebunkport, 207-967-3465.
