BANGOR, Maine — A complaint about loud music led to the arrest Sunday night of a Bangor man who had violated a protection order, police said.

Officer David Farrar went to a Court Street residence just before 10 p.m. to investigate the complaint, Sgt. Paul Edwards said, and discovered that Frank Tripp, 44, who was visiting the residence, wasn’t supposed to have contact with a female who was also visiting.

Police determined Tripp was violating the protection order and arrested him, the sergeant said.

Earlier this summer, Tripp was sentenced to 50 days behind bars for violating a protection order, according to Bangor Daily News archives.

Tripp remained at the Penobscot County Jail on Monday morning.

  1. A couple of more months and this incident will count as ‘Strike One’ against the landlord. Thank goodness.
