BANGOR, Maine — A total of 3,385 customers of Bangor Hydro-Electric Co. in Piscataquis County and six in Washington County were without power Monday morning due to an apparent equipment malfunction.

Bangor Hydro spokeswoman Susan Faloon said Brownville, Ebeemee Township, Bowerbank, Sebec, Milo, Atkinson and surrounding areas were affected.

“The cause has yet to be determined, but appears to be related to an equipment malfunction at a substation serving the area,” she said in a press release.

The outages were reported just after 10 a.m., and power was restored by 11:30 a.m., Faloon said.

And cook my supper on the woodstove.
      Ayuh.
