WATERVILLE, Maine — Police are seeking a suspect or suspects responsible for a burglary at a Western Avenue residence Sunday afternoon.

Waterville Deputy Chief Charles Rumsey said the homeowners were in the residence at the time, although they were on the second floor of the house when the perpetrator or perpetrators gained entry through an unlocked door.

Several items, including prescription drugs and a wallet that included a checkbook and debit card, were stolen, Rumsey said.

Rumsey said police don’t have a description of the suspect or suspects, but Det. Duane Cloutier is investigating the matter. Anyone with knowledge on this incident should call Waterville police at 680-4700.
