HOUSTON — Doctors for former President George H.W. Bush say he’s improved after weeks of treatment for a bronchitis-related cough, though he’s not going home yet.
A spokesman at Methodist Hospital in Houston said Tuesday that Bush’s status hasn’t changed and he remains in stable condition. George Kovacik says the 88-year-old Bush continues “to make positive progress” in his recovery.
No release date has been set for Bush. He’s been hospitalized since Nov. 23.
Bush also spent about a week in the hospital in early November. He was discharged, but he had a flare-up around Thanksgiving and was readmitted.
Bush and his wife, Barbara, split their time between homes in Houston and Kennebunkport, Maine.

Best wishes to a good man!
I don’t expect he”ll be coming out, though. :(
Get well, Mr. Bush. You deserved another term, but that is in the past. You made a compromise for the good of the country. That is something the current administration seems to be unable to do. God bless you, sir, an outstanding American who served his country well in war and politics.
Whatever happened to the times when being in Washington meant entering public service? Those who served left their careers, but then they came back to their careers leaving Washington instead of staying forever or as long as humanly possible.
This man deserves prison just for subjecting the country to his dweeb son Shrub.
JohnR, you are a jerk. This man is a true American who served his country in both war and politics. you should give it a try.
You mean a true “republican” American who left his crew mate to die. Yes that is what I would expect from a not true but a republican American.
Your true colors are showing… And I suppose if he was a democrat all would be good. You are still a jerk.
